Fusion Fractures #2

I continue to be fascinated with various examples of contemporary architecture.

For this collection a major inspiration was the cut out work by artist Henri Matisse. I continue to be surrounded and influenced daily by overwhelming visions of pattern, shapes, colours and lines.

It is these elements which truly excite me and it is from this connection I created this piece. I very much enjoyed working with small images and joining them together like a jigsaw in order to create this 3D optical illusion this has encourage me to continue working on a larger scale.

Using the laser cutting machine during this process allowed me to add a completely new dimension to my pieces and has opened my imagination to new worlds of endless possibilities.
