Shot in one movement on London’s Oxford Street as light begins to fade and artificial ones take over. Colour from the buses are gently coerced across the mid-ground and mid-layers by the artist’s hand. Part of a series of photographs examining the passing of time in London’s vibrant West End. Attempting to capture the energy of the city, this image is the result of an unconventional photographic technique, intuition and sheer good fortune.
Printed on Fuji Flex, a.k.a. super-gloss, which has a plastic feel to the paper and a warm base colour with an ultra high gloss finish, giving luxurious rich colours. Mounted on aluminium with battens allowing the work to float 15mm off the wall.
