Digital culture editor and founder of Designcollector Network – Arseny Vesnin, has been exploring and revealing the cream of the top of visual media arts and design since 2003. Designcollector blog quickly became a leading online media that keeps an eye on the rapidly changing world of new media art, design and other creative disciplines.
Starting from 2013, Arseny (DCN and partners) organises the annual initiative the Digital Decade, aimed to reveal upcoming artists working in the field of digital and interactive media arts. Digital Decade has taken place previously in creative hubs of Barcelona, Saint Petersburg before settling the event permanently in London. Each year artists asked to reflect on the specific question about the near-future terms and environmental issues.
In 2017 the Digital Decade 5: Cyberia was an exhibition of Metal Prints, VR, video art, projection mapping and interactive installation taking place at London’s Ugly Duck in August.
In 2018, Arseny Vesnin (Designcollector) is joining Creative Debuts to deliver a number of events across London related to the Digital Decade concept. These will be the retrospective installation of selective artist from all previous Digital Decade exhibitions. There is also a plan to run brand new phygital art exhibition and event by Creative Debuts and curated by Arseny Vesnin drafted as the “Digital Decade 6: Post-Identity” featuring interactive and print artist working in the intersection of digital and physical art scenes.
